Advanced Robotic Cardiac Surgery Fellowship

The Thoracic Surgery Foundation (The Society of Thoracic Surgeons) · Fellow's home institution with STS mentor-sponsor programme visit, International · International

Programme overview

TSF fellowship, supported by Intuitive, awarded to a surgeon and institution to start a robotic cardiac programme: device and procedure-specific courses, a team visit to an STS mentor-sponsor's programme, simulated cases, then five proctored cases at the fellow's own hospital.

Programme faculty

Official award supports training at applicant-selected or subsequently matched host(s); it does not publish a single fixed clinical faculty team. Host supervisor/proctor must be confirmed for the individual award. Award namesakes, donors, selection committee members and past recipients are not substituted for faculty.

Verification notes

TSF page shows 'Currently Closed' with no open/close dates; body text says applications accepted through 15 September 2026 and that the fellowship term will begin in February 2026 (apparently not updated). Training occurs mainly at the fellow's own institution with an STS proctor.
