Programme overview
The ICM Department of Surgery offers a 12–24 month fellowship to physicians already certified in cardiac surgery in their country, mainly in the operating room with exposure to valve, coronary, aortic, transplant and mechanical heart techniques plus minimally invasive and transapical valve procedures. Rotations include surgical ICU (with call), pre-operative consults and post-operative care; 24-month fellows may complete a U de Montréal MSc in biomedical sciences.
