How CTS Fellow
verifies programmes.
Our objective is not to publish the largest list. It is to make difficult-to-compare cardiothoracic training information clearer and traceable to an authoritative source.
Discovery
We begin with official hospitals, universities, departments, national training bodies and professional societies. Society directories can identify a programme, but institutional evidence is preferred for its details.
Verification
A record must have a working official source. We record the programme title, institution, pathway, duration, status and eligibility only when evidence is available. Missing information is labelled “Not publicly listed” or omitted.
Clinical participation
“Hands-on” is never inferred from the word fellowship. Operative participation depends on licensing, credentialing, immigration status and institutional approval. Where the official source is unclear, CTS Fellow states that participation is unclear.
Status and deadlines
Passed deadlines are not shown as open. Closed programmes remain discoverable when useful, but are clearly labelled and removed from default open-opportunity views.
Independence
CTS Fellow does not accredit programmes, guarantee acceptance, licensing, salary, funding or operative access. Listings are not rankings. Any future sponsored placement must be explicitly disclosed.
Corrections
Programme information changes. Every profile carries a verification date and a report-an-update route. Reliable institutional evidence takes priority over submissions or third-party claims.
