About Vaughn Alden Starnes
Vaughn Starnes received his medical degree from North Carolina and trained in general surgery and cardiovascular research at Vanderbilt. He completed cardiothoracic and transplant training at Stanford and congenital heart surgery training in London. His career includes paediatric and adult congenital surgery, heart and lung transplantation, and development of living-related lobar lung transplantation.
