About Derek R. Serna-Gallegos
Derek Serna-Gallegos treats adult cardiac disease with particular interests in aortic surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery and complex coronary disease. He received his medical degree at USC’s Keck School of Medicine, completed residency at Cedars-Sinai and fellowship at UPMC, and joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 2020. He is board certified in general and cardiothoracic surgery.
