About Daniel A. Velez
Daniel Velez’s practice includes congenital cardiac surgery and paediatric heart transplantation. He graduated from Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico and trained in general surgery and cardiothoracic research at Emory, followed by cardiothoracic and transplant training at the University of Washington. His research interests include vascular conduits, myocardial protection and the arterial switch operation.
